What 4xZ® stands for? In Polish this is “Zdefiniuj, Zmierz, Zanalizuj, Zmień” what may be translated into English as Define, Measure, Analize, Change. This is our philosophy of solving business problems. We base our philosophy on effectiveness. We work out well thought solutions which will guarantee sustainable improvement to the business. But implementation of changes to any business is a real challenge. Everybody, who has worked in the business for some time has been through reengineering, improvement projects, and other changes which never improved anything. Instead they caused bad emotions and took a tremendous amount of the employees time which could have been better spent on everyday work. There is nothing worse than a badly managed change. The memory of this event lasts long and every new attempt meets with “we’ve been through that, we will survive this attempt as well” attitude of employees.
Our company is built on experience. Heading it is Zofia Telakowska who holds MBA from The University of Sydney and a Master’s Degree as an Engineer of Mining Geology from the Academy of Mining and Metallurgy in Cracow. During her professional carrier she worked in Poland and Australia, where she spent 13 years working as a consultant and a manager. She ran international projects in Australia, Indonesia and Fiji. Since her come back to Poland in 1993 she worked for the multinational corporation Johnson&Johnson. For the last 7 years she worked as Finance Director, member of the Company Management Group. In J&J Zofia led the process of business process effectiveness improvement and was involved in this activity for 10 years. In 1997 she was the leader of the European project of Finance function reengineering. Zofia led numerous trainings and workshops on process improvement, as well as on strategy formulation and implementation. She was responsible for business planning and control processes and improved it significantly over the years. She also led a dramatic cultural and structural change in the Accounts Receivable area. This change resulted in a 50% improvement of the company’s Accounts Receivable.
Zofia Telakowska holds a Six Sigma Black Belt certificate. She is the author of the 4xZ® method. Zofia lectures management at Warsaw’s Collegium Civitas. She has been leading the 4xZ consultancy since 2008 - specializing in strategy execution and optimization of business processes.
